When kindness finds it way back

Sometimes, it’s the smallest moments that carry the deepest meaning.

Earlier today, I found myself leaving the hospital after overpaying for parking. On my way out, I noticed someone about to pay, and without much thought, I told him he could use the time I had already covered. It was a simple gesture—nothing extraordinary, just a quiet moment of kindness.

Just prior, when I was inside, I was hoping to grab a cold lemonade, but was told they only served hot drinks. A bit disappointing after my long wait

As I was driving off, I saw that same person waving me down. I stopped—and to my surprise, he handed me a drink.

In that moment, everything just clicked.

It wasn’t about the parking or the drink. It was about the exchange of energy. The intention behind a small act, and how quickly it found its way back to me—unexpected, unplanned, and perfectly timed. Not in the same form, but in the same spirit.

We hear it all the time—“what you give comes back to you.” But every now and then, you experience it in such a tangible way that it stops you in your tracks. It makes you pause and recognize that there is something greater at work, something we may not fully understand, but can definitely feel.

What stayed with me even more than the moment itself was the awareness of it. It would have been easy to brush it off as coincidence and move on. But instead, it felt like a quiet reminder—one that landed exactly when I needed it.

A reminder that kindness matters.

That intention matters.

That even in the middle of stress, uncertainty, or heavy seasons, there is still alignment happening behind the scenes.

God works in ways we don’t always see coming—but sometimes, if we’re paying attention, we get a glimpse.

And those glimpses? They stay with you.
